The Weaving Mill Film-Workshop is a non-profit educational and cultural association working in Old Nicosia since 2002. Its primary aim is the promotion of film-culture and the study of cinema. Moreover, one of the fundamental aims of the Weaving Mill is the development of infrastructure for the study of cinema. At this moment the Weaving Mill has the largest public library in Cyprus of books on cinema, plus a film archive of over 600 titles. By organizing and hosting cultural events, lectures, seminars, screenings, workshops, etc., the Weaving Mill hopes to contribute toward the development of cultural life in Old Nicosia. Central to the activities of the Weaving Mill is its collaboration with schools, organizing a series of workshops for young people and teachers.
